The Department of Vulcanology advises that due to small eruption of the volcano 'Gunung Baru' it is strongly recommended NOT to stay overnight at the Lake 'Segara Anak' This advisory will remain valid until the Dept of Vulcanology issues a statement that it is safe for visitors to stay overnight at the lake. The Rinjani Trek remains open for the whole trek between Sembalun Lawang and Senaru since 1 April.
